Dear Gateway Family,

We hope that you are doing well amidst these difficult times. While COVID-19 has showed just how far we have advanced in our technology (i.e. a plethora of applications that allow us to call, message, or video chat one another), we also have learned that a genuine, gathered community is simply irreplaceable—plus, no technical difficulties in-person! Currently, we are conducting a hybrid service: meeting in-person indoors as well as streaming simultaneously on Facebook every Sunday at 10AM. Use the link below to watch on Facebook:

Here are some future events to keep an eye out for:

  • July 17 — Sunday service at 10AM (ASDA Fellowship Hall): Saul and the Danger of Getting What We Want

  • July 24 — Sunday service at 10AM (ASDA Fellowship Hall)

  • July 31 — Sunday service at 10AM (ASDA Fellowship Hall)

  • August 6 — Hollywood Game Night at Mary Townsend’s.

Your Financial Support

We are grateful to God for the generosity of his people in supporting our ongoing ministries and our staff. Last Sunday, we received $850—praise God! Thank you, Gateway family, for your tremendous generosity and dependency on the Lord even during these challenging financial times.

Benevolence

If any of you has suffered a job loss or encounters a financial need, or if you know someone else in the congregation who does, please let one of our elders know.

May the Lord watch over every member of his body at Gateway, may he protect us from the dangers of this virus, and may he use us to bring others into his kingdom who have lost their way in life.

A New Gateway Online Prayer Meeting

For those of us who are unable to attend our regular Wednesday evening prayer meeting, every Tuesday from 7:30 - 8:15 pm, we're hosting a new on-line "Concert of Prayer" using Zoom for those in our church. A "Concert of Prayer" is a prayer time where the amount of discussion is limited so that more time can be spent in "concerted" prayer. Concerted is defined as  "jointly arranged or coordinated" and also means "strenuously carried out."

Usually there are lots of different topics and we'll use the 'breakout room' feature of Zoom so that people can pray in groups of two or three. It's relatively fast-paced and most people are amazed at how quickly the time passes. If you'd like to change the world through prayer join us Tuesday nights at 7:30 sharp! Just follow this link.

If you're asked for the meeting ID put in:  651 972 030

May the Lord be pleased to deepen our love for him and for each other during this national and world crisis.
