On Saturday, July 8, from 3:00 - 9:00 pm, members of our Gateway family will be gathering at the Huntington Beach State Park to escape the hot, drab concrete of the SVG, and take in the beauty of the Pacific.
As an extra bonus, those who can arrive in the morning will get to watch Elise and Irene play two matches of soccer during the beach soccer tournament, which takes place from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. When you arrive, make sure to text or call Juan Torres for information on which soccer field they will be playing on, and which fire pit is reserved for us. You can also look for the USC - UCLA canopies which will be standing side by side.
Feel free to bring your own food for dinner. Juan Torres will have his grill there for any meat you might bring. When dusk falls, Matt Kettle will lead us in some worship songs, the lyrics of which we can all see on our cell phones. Some of us early birds plan to arrive in the morning to save a fire pit somewhere close to lifeguard tower 7, between Magnolia and Brookhurst.
