On Saturday, April 13, we will be hosting our first Spring Hike in the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. Because of the huge crowds expected, we have changed our schedule to the following:
Please leave your home by 6:30 am in order to arrive at the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve between 8:00 - 8:30 am. On your way, you can pick up breakfast at the exit of Highway 14 and West Ave I, at one of these restaurants:
Wendy's
Starbucks
Jack in the Box
Vallarta Supermarket
There are numerous hiking trails that lead out from the visitors center.
Gateway will provide a 'tailgate' breakfast in the parking area, once we all arrive. Here is the address:

When we return home, one option for lunch is to eat at the In-n-Out Burger right by the 14 Freeway exit at West Ave I.
The cost of parking is $10.00 per vehicle. Please RSVP with Jim R. if you plan on participating, and if you can provide a vehicle for carpooling.
